Acheson & Glover have researched and developed a flagstone which withstands the heaviest loadings.
Experience has shown that when footpaths are subjected to heavy loadings, the traditional standard paving flags are prone to severe cracking and crumbling.
Producing a tougher flagstone was simple - make it smaller and thicker. Field trials and continuous testings have confirmed laboratory findings and have shown that the amount of cracking (i.e. the development of 'trips') is substantially reduced in the smaller flagstones.

Laying Advice
- Sand laid to approximately 50mm thickness, vibrated and screeded to required falls.
- Flags laid and tampered with rubber mallet.
- Jointing to architects specifications. Normally butt jointing is common practice with dried sand brushed into joints.
