Cattle Slats
Our range consists of prestressed cattle slats and prestressed dual purpose slats. This caters for all farm animals, such as cows, pigs and sheep. Farmers will be reassured to know that all our slats are produced to BS8110 Part 1 1997 and BS5502 Part 22 1993 and Part 51 1991.
The slats are constantly and rigidly tested to ensure that quality and strength is maintained. Our commitment to quality plus design superiority puts our slat range out in front.
- Safe for 8.0 tonne axle loads on slabs up to 4.0 metres (13ft) clear span if the following conditions are satisfied.
- Slabs require a minimum bearing of 150mm (6")
- Slabs should be bedded on sand/cement mortar to prevent rocking.
- The space between slabs should be grouted using 30N/mm2 concrete.
- Slabs should be prevented from sliding apart by a concrete apron or wall at either end of the feed passage.
- Axle and wheel centres should be not less than 1.5m (5'0'')

Specifications
- Design complies with all British Standards.
- Manufactured from high strength concrete 50 N/sq. mm
- High-tensile steel prestressing wire to BS5896 1980.
- Hard-wearing non-slip surface.
- Rounded edges which will not damage livestocks hooves.
- Square ends provide a non-rocking property therefore no loose slats.
- Prestressing wire has 43mm cover of concrete which means no corrosion and lasting strength.
